The DDM Premium HID Kit features the highest quality components and utilize microprocessor technology, making them noticeably brighter than most other kits on the market. The ballasts themselves are also much smaller than traditional kits, allowing them to be easily installed in tight places, or on vehicles with very little room in the engine bay.
The kit includes:
- 2 Xenon-Charged Bulbs
- 2 Slim HID Ballasts
- 2 "Plug-and-Play" Wiring Harnesses & Connectors
- Lifetime warranty on all parts for original purchaser
The 55-watt option provides lighting up to 40% brighter than the 35-watt kit. The following chart compares the output of the 35-watt and 55-watt options.
Color | Description | 35 watt Lumens | 55 watt Lumens |
3000k | "Ion" yellow | 3200 | 4800 |
4500k | Pure white | 3400 | 5000 |
5000k | White with a tiny hint of blue | 3300 | 4900 |
6000k | White with a blue hue | 3200 | 4800 |
8000k | Sky blue | 3100 | 4700 |
10000k | Dark sky blue | 2900 | 4500 |
12000k | Darker sky blue | 2700 | 4300 |

NOTES: - 55-watt ballasts tend to wash out the color of the bulbs, so you may want to choose a higher color temperature than you would if you were ordering a 35-watt kit.
- If you are planning to install the 55-watt kit in a vehicle that came from the factory with D2S bulbs, the installation may not be plug-and-play. Contact us for more information, if necessary.
I've had to replace two ballasts (the lifetime warranty is a great thing to have!). The light on the 8000k bulbs with the 55-watt ballast is bright and really lights up your surroundings.
Highly recommended!
Excellent Product, Excellent Service
I've been using this HID KIT for about a year and in different weather conditions from extreme cold to hot weather and the KIT worked perfectly, unlike others. I am very happy with the quality and the performance. I am going to buy another set for my next car and I will recommend this product to all my friends.
Quality well worth the money
I bought this same kit in June of 2009 here at RPM (and at a higher price, I might add). For those of you wondering about quality and if these lights will last in real-world conditions, they have been trouble-free for over three years and still going strong. I bought the 4500 K lamps as I was less concerned about color temperature as general light output. They really make a HUGE difference and I can't recommend them highly enough.
It split ships (out of china) so expect it to take a while to get there. They come with no instructions, so plan on Googling how to do the project.
They do look ok, so the product is good. I would have just rather know upfront that I'll be waiting and there are no instructions, so hopefully you find the right forum to help so you don't have to cut at your car too badly.
I bought the 35w 6k and they have an awesome blue tint to them. I didnt want that dark blue that I see on some cars. They make a huge difference over the stock head lights. These are so bright that I only wonder how much brighter the 55w must be.
I have had these for over a year now without any issues.
