I had wanted to add an iPod to my 2007 Miata for a long time. The dealer wanted $150 to install a connection, CarToys wanted $250, then I heard about XCarLink. I had some questions about compatibility, so I emailed the support, and they responded that same day. So, I ordered it, found some YouTube videos showing how to install it for my car, and tried the install myself. It only took an hour to install, and works great. Finally, I can take those CDs out of my car!

Cons:
Installed this in my wife's 2007 Mazda5 and it works great. Exactly as advertised. The integration is clean and I did not need to do any drilling or major disassembly.

Installation took me roughly 2 hours, and I did have to consult some 3rd party installation guides (such as the ones for Mazda accessories and from Crutchfield). But, once I figured out how to remove the necessary parts from the center console, it was quite easy.

For access and convenience, I mounted the integration module in the back of the glove box, instead of behind the head unit. The sound quality can be a bit harsh, but certainly better than FM receivers or a lot of Bluetooth kits.

I can even use the integration kit with an iPhone 5s using a 30-pin to Lightning adapter. It charges the phone, and during playback I can use the steering wheel and dash controls (haven't explored beyond basic forward-back and pause).

While not as fully functional as Bluetooth, it does exactly what it's supposed to do -- bring the audio from your iOS device to your car, even if it lacks analog inputs or factory Bluetooth support. Altogether, this is a great option for those of us with older cars and want some additional functionality at a reasonable price.

Cons:
The product works great. I never thought I'd be able to integrate my iPod into my car stereo without having to pay the dealership, or some other company, large sums of cash. I paid a quarter of what the dealership wanted and installation took only a half hour, and that was because I was taking it slow being careful not damage my interior.
Wonderful!!

I've had both versions of this product (original was the AudioLink). Both have worked exceptionally well and have made everyone riding in my Mazda very jealous. Very easy to install! Very easy to use. I've looked around and very few solutions like this exist for other vehicles this product is amazing. 2004 Mazda3 S 5dr

I live in New Zealand and ordered this for my 2005 Mazda 6 MPS, very easy to install, took me only 10 minutes, and works really well, awesome sound, i dont know why i did not get this to begin with.

RPM were so quick with the purchase, as it only took a week to be delivered to my door, (I was expecting it to take at least a good two to three weeks before i saw my product).

I highly recommend this product to anyone who has a Mazda Vehicle, and i also will recommend RPM to anyone.
