The cp-e™ Stage II short block was specifically designed for bullet proof performance. This is the balanced option; stronger than Stage I, yet within the factory 2.3L constraints, unlike the extreme Stage III. This is a setup geared towards track racers needing utmost reliability, and those wanting to push the car to its limits.

As with all cp-e™ engines, you get the best in performance with no compromise in quality using highest grade components and engineering.

All cp-e™ MZR blocks are precision machined to our spec and hand assembled with utmost care and attention. Each block is carefully blueprinted, balanced and assigned a unique serial number. All specs are carefully tracked and verified throughout the build

Stage II block features a factory size bore with ERL engineered ductile iron sleeves.  The MZR blocks are precision machined to accept the new sleeves, sleeves are pressed in, then the assembly is machined to proper deck height to ensure a tight sealing surface between the block and cylinder head. We offer both Stage I factory spec pistons or the cp-e™ engineered MagnumDI™ MZR 2.3 DISI Stage2 Pistons, all assembled with K1 rods. ARP main studs are included. We use performance main bearings. Our Tri-Metal rod bearings are specially coated with a Teflon based coating offering reduced friction and wear.

Each motor comes with full documentation and a spec sheet. A full engine gasket set and ARP head studs are available as well.

The core charge will be automatically added to your order. It will be refunded once we receive your original short block core in good condition. Please review the core requirements to make sure you have a good short block core.
 

Core Requirements:

• Inspect sleeves for cracks
• All main bolts and main girdle must be included
• It must be properly packaged with protection on all sides
• Please clean off as much oil residue as is possible
• Remove all accessories (anything that is attached to the engine)
• Leave anything internally on the engine as a part of the core.

cp-e™ offers a lifetime warranty on all cp-e™ products. However, this warranty does not include short blocks or cylinder heads.
